Why Team Up In Europe?

In a recent report given by the government on Easter Sunday 2018, it was revealed that Belgium, our home base for Europe, consists of only 1.35% Evangelical Christian. Among the indigenous Belgians this percentage is less than .5%. Europe overall, is less than 3% Christian.

We believe that God has called us as a team to see people whom are spiritually deprived experience the love of Jesus! Our purpose is to make disciples, train leaders, and plant churches. Thank you for your partnership in prayer and resources in making this vision come to pass!

Bill & Gretchen Schwartz

Bill & Gretchen Schwartz have been married since February 1994. They have served in multiple ministry positions throughout the years. Since 2002, they have served as founders of Hope for Europe. In addition, in 2008 they joined the IPHC and serve as missionaries with World Missions Ministries. Based in the Brussels Region of Belgium, they are passionate about making disciples, training leaders, and planting churches. In addition to leading the efforts of our bible schools, new church plants, and CrossPoint Réseau de Ministères, they serve as the Lead Pastors of The Bridge.

Ryan Schwartz

Ryan first moved to Belgium in 2002 at six months old with his missionary family. Over the years he has been actively involved in several areas of ministry. These ministries have included sound, lighting, and video production. In recent times Ryan has served in the worship ministries and joined the Converge Core Team. He also serves in the youth ministry of The Bridge, his local church in the Brussels Region of Belgium.

Ryan has recently completed Discipleship Training School and School of Ministry Development. He has recently been accepted to serve on the staff of YWAM Louisville and will be participating in all areas related to discipleship and international missions trips. His passion is for all the world to know Jesus personally!

Rachel Schwartz

Rachel has spent most of her life in Europe serving with her parents in Belgium.

Rachel graduated in 2020 from Southwestern Christian University in Oklahoma City, OK, earning a degree in Psychology. Since January 2021, she has served and continues to serve with The AWAKENING of the IPHC which is dedicated to reaching the lost, discipling young adults and training leaders. Her assignment from The AWAKENING is just outside of Budapest, Hungary.

Weekly Rachel is building relationships with young adults by teaching English in the local high school, serving at the base coffee shop, as well as discipling those who have come to faith in Jesus. In addition, her team travels within Hungary and other nations sharing the love of Jesus.
